For over 40 years, Studio Chopin has provided elite, exceptional piano instruction rooted in the eastern European tradition to students in Santa Monica and West LA. Studio Chopin students have won international competitions and earned admission to Juilliard, Curtis, Stanford, Harvard, Yale, and other distinguished institutions. The studio was founded by Douglas and Roza Yoder, who met at the Chopin Academy in Warsaw, Poland, while studying with world-renowned Chopin interpreter Jan Ekier.

Studio Chopin offers private, at-home piano lessons in Santa Monica and throughout the surrounding Westside, including Bel Air, Beverly Hills, and Venice. Although students travel from across California, including as far as Encinitas, to study at our Northeast Los Angeles studio, we understand the challenges of commuting and are pleased to bring the same exceptional instruction directly to students’ homes.
